Bathroom conversations with Connor

Our second day at the pool was again fun for all. We must, of course, visit the bathroom every time we go, as was the case last year. (Last year, mind you, I had a big ol' baby comfortably perched on my bladder, so I was more than happy to oblige).

And so our conversation went:
C: "Mom, do hear that?"
Me: "No, Connor, what is it?"
C: "My pee in the potty."
Me: "Nope. Didnt hear it."
C: "Mom, do you here that?"
Me: "What, Connor?"
C: "My poop splashing in the potty."

(Sorry for those who may be offended. What can I say? It's a blog about our kids. And this is what happened with my kids). :)

Me: "No, Connor I didnt hear that hon."
C: "Mom?"
Me: "Uh huh?"
C: "My poop is making a cross in the water." (giggling) "Isn't that silly?"
Me: "Connor, are you done?"
C: "You dont want to know about my poop and pee?"
Me: "No. Lets go, buddy."
C: "Ok, mommy. You know what? The potty is so fun."

Just wait until he's in 1st grade. My time as a 1st grade teacher was always spent *very* interestingly when I ended up having to go *inside* the 1st grade Boys' Bathroom at school. It was always under duress. It was usually to remind them *not* to have "distance contests". ;)
