They must think Im deaf...or dumb...or both! :)

I love it when my kids tell me that Libby is crying. Like I'm an idiot. They must think I don't hear her. Despite the fact that I have MOMMY ears, which means I hear every peep and cry that comes from my kids - whether a foot or a mile away - I must not hear the baby crying in the room upstairs.

"Can we get her?"
"Because she is ok and it is nap time."
"But she is crying."
"Then I will check on her."
"Why can't we?"
"Because when YOU check on her, all THREE of you trample upstairs in your most delicate stomp, fight to see who gets to the door first, push and shove to see who can get to the crib first and then yell at each other in an attempt to tell each other to keep quiet, so as to NOT wake her up!"

Ah yes, and then proceed to tell me, "See, mom...she is awake. She WANTS to get up!"
{Sigh. Sometimes, it is easier to simply give in.}
