Did summer REALLY turn the minds to mush?

Ok, my child definitely isn't dumb, but Chris and I quizzed her over her multiplication tables tonight and she would have gotten a BIG WHOPPING F if it had been a real quiz.
So we had a lot of fun at her expense, telling her that 4th graders who do not remember their times tables are forced back to 3rd - or 2nd - grade during math class so they are around kids who know as much as they did.
Is it sad to say we got some enjoyment out of the look of fear and dread on her face?
Really? You forgot 6x8?? Really?
{SIGH}. I'm sure it will come back to her. She's a smart kid. Does extremely well in school.
Still, that was fun. :) Maybe we can torment her some more tonight...as if the 30 minutes of reading wasn't enough. ;) HA!
Again, I'm going to hell.
